Room Use Policy
At The Secret Lantern, we’re proud to offer cozy, private rooms for reading, gaming, crafting, and gathering with friends. These rooms are designed as community-use spaces, and we’re thrilled to see so many of you making the most of them!
However, to ensure clarity, safety, and consistency for everyone, we have a few important guidelines to follow:
Room Rentals May Not Be Used to Host Paid Events
Our private room rentals are not intended for use as event spaces where the organizer charges attendees a fee (including tickets, pay-to-play, suggested donations, etc.).
Why?
Charging admission creates the appearance of a formal, public event— making The Secret Lantern appear to be hosting or sponsoring it.
This can introduce confusion, misrepresentation, and legal liability for us as a business.
Our goal is to maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment and to protect the integrity of our programming, licensing, and insurance coverage.
